Hello out there in VA, TN and the rest of the USA. My mother is a "Garst" from the Kansas bunch. Seems I recall there being a family reunion of the Garsts in VA a couple of years back but, believe it or not, living in TN at the time, I was unable to attend. I wonder how we are connected? I know that my linage began with three Garst brothers who migrated to the USA from Germany. How does this line up with your information? Would love to hear from you.

Hi!

I am John Garst (little brother of Ginny). First of all, I wanted to say that I love your site.

Now this is all VERY eerie, but my wife and I seem to be following in your footsteps and trailing you by four years. WE live in the Memphis area and met at the Flying Saucer in 2003. We got married at IC in 2005 and had our son Jack this year. On top of all of it, OUR family website is e-garst.com! We've also been to Niagra Falls together and I've been thinking of turning our website into a blog since Jack was born. Weird, huh?

Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know you have a twin family of sorts. Please feel free to email me if you'd like...Or go check out our website, although ours isn't as nice as yours....but then I guess I've got 4 years to catch up, heh!

Hope all is well with you.

Hello...

My name is Ginny Woods - maiden name...Garst. I stumbled on your site....my younger brother has a site e-garst.com (He lives in Nesbit). For the longest we were the only Garsts in Memphis. How long have you lived there?

I was born and raised in Memphis. My father is Jack L. Garst and my mother is Sarah M. Garst. They are both from Roanoke, VA. I have 3 brothers (David, Matt & John) & 1 sister (Ann).

Before my father passed away in 2006, he spent much time on our geneology and helped bit together a GARST REUNION in Virginia. I think it was in 2000.

I would love to connect with you regarding your family. Hope to hear from you soon.
